Maiko is Executive Director of the Seattle Chinatown International District Preservation and Development Authority (SCIDpda), whose mission is to preserve, promote and develop the Chinatown International District as a vibrant community and unique ethnic neighborhood.  Maiko has 20 years community and economic development experience including asset management, property management, real estate development and finance. She is the Secretary (and a past president) of the National Coalition of Asian Pacific American Community Development board and has served/serves on a variety of public task forces and committees in the areas of community development, transportation, and planning.  Maiko graduated from University of Washington with a Master of Public Administration, and Bachelors of Arts from the University of Puget Sound.
