The Advisory Board et Cie
Kurt F. Matthew Jr. is the founder and managing partner at The Advisory Board et Cie, a Palm Beach, FL based private investment group, consisting of retired Fortune 500 CEOs and board chairmen, entrepreneurs and former government officials, that invest in corporate and sovereign government opportunities, in the United States and internationally.
Over a 30 year period, during which time he started and sold several businesses, Kurt served as a private banker in Switzerland, a registered investment adviser in the USA and a corporate and sovereign government banker in the Caribbean and Latin America. He also serves as an international board member and adviser, speaker and writer, sharing his expertise, experience and network of contacts in the fields of financial-engineering, banking and investments.
A global citizen and graduate of Harvard University (1991) and Miami University, Ohio (1986), he has lived and worked on several continents, is fluent in French and Spanish and shrewdly leverages the unique gifts he inherited from his forefathers from France, Africa, Italy and China.
Over the decades, Kurt has established and chaired many non-profit organizations under the auspices of Rotary International, the Harvard Club, the Knights of Columbus and the Roman Catholic Church. Currently, he serves on several civic and religious committees in multiple cities, sharing his financial, spiritual and philanthropic resources, while simultaneously mentoring the next generation of world leaders.
Always seeking to maximize every day of life, Kurt is an avid reader and athlete, running a half-marathon each day, in preparation for the next marathon, somewhere in the world.
